Answer: The product has been upgraded, but not deactivated.

1. Uninstall latest version,

4. Uninstall then reinstall the new version.

Remove the old web part from the page, then re-add the web part. This will now refer to the new files rather than the previous version.

Both solutions are essentially treated as two separate products in regards to the installer used to deploy. There are two scenarios to be aware of when upgrading to 1OrgChart 2010.

1. You have a clean SharePoint 2010 environment that isn't using a SharePoint 2007 database: The 1OrgChart 2010 solution can simply be installed and deployed to the desired location
2. You have a SharePoint 2010 environment using a copy of a SharePoint 2007 database: You will need to ensure that the product has been removed, deactivated and uninstalled before making a copy of the database. This will ensure that the database does not contain any components from 1OrgChart 2007.

Yes – several files need to be edited for this to work. There is a key in the resource file “Config_PropertyNamePIctureURL”

1. Virtual Directory, App_GlobalResources\CCPeopleDirectory - CCPeopleDirectory.resx Change the text “pictureurl” to the new extension
2. Layouts\CCPeopleDirectory\XML\defaultSearchResultsStyle.xslt Change “pictureurl” throughout the file.

This will need to be completed on each WFE.

If custom lists are being used, images will not work unless you create a new column with the “extension” name.

Yes, all lists used by Important Notice are hidden. They can however be accessed through SharePoint designer but it is highly recommended not to modify the lists. Modifying the list could potentially cause issues in future upgrades.

You will not receive the notice again if you have accepted and agreed to the information. If you have selected the 'Remind me later' option, the message will appear again depending on the frequency that the Notice Manager configured.
